Our Connection to Christ
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval”: Hebrews 11 reminds us of the long story of which we are a part, as followers of Jesus, a Jewish man inviting his disciples to follow the heart of the Law of Moses, to love God and our neighbors. The Jewish Christian author of Hebrews translates wisdom found in the Hebrew Bible toward faithful action in the first century world, inspiring us today to live faithfully, as have our ancestors over thousands of years.
